The following photos are of the Trent Severn Waterway and it’s 45 locks The water rushes in pretty quick when they open those valves. Some of the locks have wooden gates rather than metal This very unique lock is called the “tub”. It has two “tubs”, one up high and the other low in the water.

On August 2, 2024 we completed the historic (think old) Trent-Severn Waterway with it’s 45 locks. The locks were built in the mid to late 1800s.
